Sensing applications of magnetoplasmonic effects: MO-SPR sensor.

Substituting the Au layer in a standard Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) sensor by a Au/Co/Au trilayer and measuring the MO signal instead of the reflectivity, allows increasing three times the sensitivity of the existing sensing platforms by the use of the MO-SPR sensor¹.
